Coral Reef Giving Program

Our Coffee Helps Save Coral Reefs

Tropics Lifestyle Coffee is inspired by the beauty and majesty of the beach, ocean, and rainforest. These environments shape tropical culture, influence where coffee is grown, and define the places that inform our brand. That’s why our impact efforts focus on supporting the long-term health of these ecosystems through clear, structured partnerships.

Coral Reef Restoration Helps the Planet

For our launch year, we have decided to support Coral Restoration Foundation (CRF), a nonprofit organization focused on restoring degraded coral reefs in the Florida Keys through science-based, hands-on methods.

Coral reefs are a vital part of our planet’s life support system, providing food and coastal protection for millions of people. Yet, they are vanishing at an alarming rate, threatening marine ecosystems and human communities worldwide.

Reefs cover less than one percent of the ocean floor but support about 25 percent of marine species. They reduce coastal erosion, protect shorelines, support fisheries, and contribute to overall ocean stability. Many reefs are currently under stress due to rising ocean temperatures and environmental pressure.

CRF is a leading non-profit marine conservation organization dedicated to restoring coral reefs to a healthy state, in Florida and globally. Their work combines coral restoration, education, and science-driven monitoring to protect reef ecosystems for the long term.

Coral restoration is practical, measurable work: growing corals, outplanting them onto reefs, and monitoring survival over time. It’s hands-on ecosystem rebuilding—exactly the kind of long-term effort that aligns with how we want to show impact.

Supporting restoration helps protect coastlines and marine habitats that countless tropical communities depend on. It also helps preserve the beauty and biodiversity that makes tropical places—where we travel, live, and dream—feel like home.

CRF’s work combines ocean science with real-world action—supporting coral nurseries, outplanting programs, volunteer engagement, and public education so more people can participate in protecting the reefs.

Why This Matters to Coffee Lovers

People drawn to tropical coffee and coastal lifestyles are often connected—directly or indirectly—to the environments where coffee is grown and where tropical culture exists. Coral reefs, rainforests, and coastal ecosystems are linked systems. When one is stressed, the others are affected.

Coral reefs protect coastlines, support fisheries, and help stabilize ocean conditions that influence tropical climates. Healthy oceans contribute to more predictable weather patterns, which affect agriculture, tourism, and coastal communities.

These same regions are often part of the cultural and environmental context in which coffee is produced and enjoyed. Supporting coral reef restoration helps maintain the environmental balance that makes tropical regions viable, both ecologically and economically.

For customers who value tropical places, calm coastal living, and products inspired by those environments, reef restoration is a practical way to support the long-term health of the systems that sustain them.

This connection is not symbolic. It reflects how environmental stability supports the landscapes, communities, and lifestyles that make tropical culture—and tropical coffee—possible.

Your Coffee, Part of the Work

Coffee and coral visual

While enjoying your Tropics Lifestyle Coffee, you also are helping support coral reef restoration.

1) Every customer’s coffee subscription turns an everyday habit into a small, consistent contribution toward rebuilding the tropical environments that inspire this brand. That’s powerful.

Each time a subscription order ships, $0.25 is set aside to fund coral reef restoration via CRF. The total contribution depends on how often a subscription ships, not on a fixed monthly schedule.

For example, a subscription that ships 12 times in a year would result in $3 allocated, while subscriptions that ship more or less frequently adjust accordingly. Funds are distributed quarterly based on the number of subscription orders shipped during that period.

As our number of subscribers and subscriptions grow, the more money we can donate to Coral Restoration Foundation. And yes, we plan on increasing the allocation amount once certain subscription goals are met.

2) Wait, there's more! During this funding period, we also will donate $1 to CRF every time an Art Box product is purchased with our stunning "Pink Coral Reef" tropical design showcased on both 12 oz. boxes and 12-pack coffee pod boxes.

Our brand's contribution is built into our business model and does not appear as a separate charge at checkout, so you don't pay anything. It’s our direct donation, distributed twice-a-year to CRF. This particular partnership is supported for a minimum of one year (Feb. 2026 to Jan. 2027) to prioritize continuity and measurable impact.

Future Brand Giving Plans

Rainforest
Coastal

Currently, CRF coral reef restoration is the focus of our environmental partnerships. Over time we’d like to expand support to additional tropical ecosystems such as rainforests and coastal environments, while maintaining long-term engagement where impact can be meaningfully evaluated.

Our goal is consistency, clarity, and accountability in how impact is supported and communicated.

Thank you for being a part of our efforts to support coral reefs, our oceans, and the tropics lifestyle we all cherish.
