Tropics Lifestyle Coffee was founded by Lisa Bastian, whose lifelong love of the tropics began in the most unexpected place—a lush indoor rainforest inside an Ohio botanical garden.

As a young girl, she was captivated by the towering palms, misty waterfalls, and vivid tropical blooms that filled the air with wonder. In landlocked Ohio ~ specifically, the river city of Cincinnati ~ that magical rainforest planted the first seeds of what would one day grow into our coffee brand.

Years later, Lisa’s career as a travel and meetings writer carried her far from home—to the beaches of the Caribbean, the gardens of Europe, and the coastal retreats of America. Whether working or exploring, she always made time to savor a quiet cup of coffee in tropical surroundings—sometimes alone at sunrise, sometimes laughing with family and friends beneath palm trees. Those cherished moments, surrounded by nature’s color and warmth, became part of her life’s rhythm.

When Lisa created Tropics Lifestyle Coffee, she set out to share those same feelings—the calm, joy, and connection that a great cup of coffee can bring. Each blend is Specialty Grade, among the top 10% of coffees in the world, selected for purity and taste.
